Transactional analysis (TA) practitioners believe that it is people who decide what actions they will take. They believe that the decisions people make can be influenced by a goal-setting approach, where the emphasis is on problem solving, autonomy and flexibility. P Williams, a health and safety practitioner, shares his understanding of TA and its application to health and safety in organisations.
