Welcome to IOSH London Met, representing approximately 2000 health and safety professionals throughout Greater London. IOSH London Metropolitan Branch is the focus for networking and the sharing of technical knowledge at regular meetings and through site visits in this gateway to further Health & Safety information.
IOSH London Metropolitan Branch strives to support the objectives of the Institution, and to promote improvements in occupational safety and health.
The branch represents all grades of membership, and serves an area covering the whole of Greater London. The branch is well established, and several of its founder members continue to be actively involved in serving the branch and supporting its activities.

Branch Visit to the Thames Barrier – Monday 6th July 2009
The London Metropolitan Branch have organised a free trip to the Thames Barrier on the afternoon of Monday the 6th July 2009. The visit will last approximately two hour and will include a tour of the Barrier. Please note that visit will include a fair amount of step climbing and therefore flat comfortable footwear is recommended. The visit is limited to 24 places which are being allocated on a first come first serve basis. To reserve you place please e-mail Justin Tyas, Secretary of the London Metropolitan Branch at jj.tyas@virgin.net by Thursday 2nd July at the latest.
We will meet at Charlton main line station at 13:30 on 6th July 09 and the walking down to the Barrier which takes about 15 minutes. Participants need to arrive promptly as we will need to be processed by security after walking down to the main gate at the Barrier for a 14:00 tour.
